Wilfredo Jimenez

Wilfredo Jimenez was a Uruguayan playwright and screenwriter who was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1915 and died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in September 2003. His activity linked cinema and Argentine theater.

Its relationship with art

He moved  to Buenos Aires when he was very young, where he associated with the most relevant figures of the Buenos Aires scene of the time. In talks about the scenic events of a narrow currents, he gave his first steps in journalism and, subsequently, dramaturgy as author and film as writer.

Wilfredo Jiménez, who also made trade union activity and was a member of the Board of Directors of ARGENTORES (society General of authors of the Argentina), Vicetesorero and Film Council Secretary, [ 3 ] died in September 2003 and his remains were buried in the Chacarita cemetery.
